Our counselors have various areas of background experience, but are all focused on your care and support. All our counselors understand that the pregnancy may be just one of many stressors and issues in your life. Our counselors are a wealth of knowledge and resources available FREE to you, regardless of whether you have insurance or not.
SHERI – Sheri is a licensed clinical social worker with a Master’s degree from Washington University. She has been a counselor at Birthright since 2003 and is the current Director of Counseling. Sheri has 20 years of varied experience in crisis, adolescent, family, and women’s issues. She values her role at Birthright as an opportunity to use her clinical skills to offer non-judgmental support/counseling to women facing a challenging life circumstance. She looks forward to working with her clients and their strengths by providing encouragement, assistance, problem-solving and community resource linkage specific to their needs. Sheri is motivated to have each client’s experience at Birthright to be uplifting and positive.
AMY – Amy is a licensed professional counselor with a Master’s degree in Community Counseling from Southeast Missouri State University. She has been working in the counseling field for 15 years with individuals and families. Amy has been with Birthright since 2003 and treasures the people she has met. Amy is continually amazed at how many different paths life’s journey can present. She looks forward to meeting with clients in a confidential and welcoming atmosphere to help clients on their specific life journey.
TERRY – Terry is a licensed clinical social worker. Terry received her Master’s degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2005. Terry has worked in the field of clinical social work with families and children in counseling since 2008. Terry has 22 years of diverse social work experience which includes child welfare, early childhood, housing, substance abuse and mentoring. Terry enjoys the opportunity of helping pregnant women understand their options while utilizing an individualized approach with compassion and empathy for all, regardless of marital status, socioeconomic status, race, religion, or creed.
