You may have seen or read about the undercover videos showing Planned Parenthood discussing the sale of aborted baby organs. As the world discusses these videos there are women who are confused with the challenge of an untimely pregnancy, feel powerless and need help now! Birthright of St. Charles provides help based on the individual woman’s needs. Whether married or single, rich or poor, young or old, each woman is different and has her own reasons for being hesitant about her pregnancy. We offer non-judgmental support to help you make a life changing decision.
We are pleased to report that Birthright of St. Charles received confirmation of compliance with the CLIA certificate of waiver requirements. The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services issued a letter after we participated in the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Servces'(CMA’) study of Waived Testing based on a their onsite visit in June. The letter further states “CMA appreciates the effort you have put forth to maintain the quality of your laboratory testing.” (related to pregnancy testing)
My friend and I were in the waiting room at Planned Parenthood waiting for my appointment for an abortion. I was telling my friend about my appointment at Birthright in St. Charles and my friend said, “You don’t really want an abortion, do you?” We walked right out and I called Birthright again. I am so thankful I was able to talk to a licensed counselor at Birthright before I made a decision that would affect my future.
Thanks to all the participants of the Showers of Love and GiveSTLday events. We appreciate your support. Your contributions allow us to provide all our services free of charge. We could not do it without you!

Missouri’s Safe Place for Newborns Act allows a parent to anonymously leave a newborn child with hospital staff, firefighters, emergency medical technicians, or law enforcement officers, without risk of legal consequences. And as of this year pregnancy resource centers (such as Birthright) were added to the Safe Place list. Newborn safe haven laws help protect babies from being abandoned in unsafe places.
